This exciting new practice facility is located adjacent to the Xfinity Center and serves both men’s and women’s basketball programs.  The 44,000 sf two-story addition features a main lobby with a Hall of Fame highlighting the illustrious past of Maryland Basketball, two practice courts, an expanded strength and conditioning center tailored to the needs of basketball athletes, offices and state-of-the-art meeting rooms for coaches, locker rooms, spacious lounges, open workspace and collaboration areas and other support areas.

Funded privately through the Foundation, the design build project, led by Clark Construction  was put on hold after the DD phase and restarted in early 2023. WFT provided plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm and life safety code services. Additional services included electrical design for extension of power from Tyser Tower Stadium nearby, to a new west videoboard at the Xfinity Center.
