This exciting new basketball performance center (BPC) will be located adjacent to and on the south side of the Xfinity Center.  The 42,000 gsf two-story addition serves to enhance both the men’s and women’s basketball programs. The main lobby will feature a Hall of Fame highlighting the illustrious past of Maryland Basketball and the facility is equipped with two separate practice courts, an expanded strength and conditioning center tailored to the needs of basketball athletes, offices and state-of-the-art meeting rooms for coaches, locker rooms, spacious lounges, open workspace and collaboration areas and other support areas.

Funded privately through the Foundation, the design build project, led by Clark Construction  was put on hold after the DD phase and restarted in early 2023. WFT is providing plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm and life safety code services. Additional services included design for extending electrical power from Tyser Tower Stadium nearby, to a new west videoboard at the Xfinity Center.
