This two-story Readiness Center located on 56 acres in southern Carroll County, houses two U.S. Army Reserve National Guard (ARNG) units in one facility.  The 65,518 gsf building encompasses an assembly hall, classrooms, kitchen and food services, a multi-purpose training room with a weapons simulator, break room, toilet and shower rooms, locker rooms, physical fitness room, administrative offices, and two general purpose maintenance training bays configured for drive-through service and equipped with an overhead bridge crane. Also included in design were a 300 sf controlled waste handling facility, a detached storage building, military (MOV) and civilian (POV) vehicle parking, and related support structures. The project was designed for LEED Silver certification.  WFT provided fire protection, fire alarm design, life safety code analysis, and construction administration services.
