US Army National Guard Readiness Center

This new two-story Readiness Center will accommodate two US Army Reserve National Guard (ARNG) units into one multi-unit Center located on 56 acres in southern Carroll County.  The facility includes an assembly hall, classrooms, kitchen and food services, a multi-purpose training room and weapons simulator, break room, toilet and shower rooms, locker rooms, physical fitness room, administrative offices, and two general purpose maintenance training bays configured for drive-through service and equipped with an overhead bridge crane.  Also included in design were a 300 SF controlled waste handling facility, a detached storage building, military (MOV) and civilian (POV) vehicle parking, and related support structures.  The project goal is LEED Silver certification.  WFT provided fire protection, fire alarm design, life safety code analysis, and construction administration services.
