A new academic facility and adjacent auditorium building connect the residential precinct to the academic core of the campus and enhance the College’s environment and programs. The academic building houses the Music and Education Studies departments and encompasses classrooms, labs, music rehearsal, recital, and practice rooms, faculty offices and support areas.  The second building features an auditorium with seating for approximately 700 and 250 balcony seats for a range of activities from concerts to lectures, film screenings, multimedia presentations and speeches equipped with contemporary technology to support communication and presentations. A public lobby also serves as a social event venue, and a Learning Commons provides space for collaborative student study and work. Together, the buildings total 52,300 gsf. Site improvements included outdoor spaces, a new Crescents Green, walkways, a roadway and sidewalk improvements. WFT provided plumbing and fire protection design, construction administration, and life safety code services.
