This vibrant LEED Gold academic facility houses science related disciplines including natural sciences, biology, physics, chemistry, STEM, environmental and general sciences, and computer science. The 150,450 gsf five-story building features a dramatic stair tower to the north and a glass building element over the main entrance which glows at night. The entry level includes exhibit space and a 100-seat lecture hall; other floors include classrooms, flexible laboratories, advanced undergraduate research space, an animal vivarium, organic learning environments, nanotechnology center, a greenhouse and green roof, campus data center, Information Technology division offices, a penthouse level, and below ground level with a 7,000 sf Satellite Central Utility Plant (SCUP). WFT provided plumbing and fire protection design and construction administration services.
