Improvements to Arthur Perdue Stadium, home to the Delmarva Shorebirds, an MLB affiliated baseball team, included adding a new 9,000 sf indoor performance center connected to an existing concourse structure, a new weight room, renovation of locker rooms, new female staff facilities, new home and visiting team food service spaces and eating areas, a new patio area for group parties, catering events, fan activities, and a kids activities area; new LED field lights and lighting upgrades in parking areas and along the access route to the batting facility; the addition of new lighting to a batting tunnel adjacent to the visitors’ clubhouse; and the relocation of bullpens, new freestanding canopies over the mounds and the home plate areas with new lighting under the canopies. The Maryland Stadium Authority design build project was led by Gilbane.
