Design build services were provided for construction of a new climate-controlled year-round practice/training facility for baseball players to enhance performance and improve training efficiency, located adjacent to the Varsity Sports Team House and Bob Turtle Smith Stadium at Shipley Field. The 8,500 sf building is equipped with three pitching lanes and three hitting lanes, a suspended ceiling and operable sports netting cages and features state-of-the-art performance analytics technology for pitchers and hitters. Spaces also include equipment storage, electrical closets, and wall-mounted displays with data feeds.
WFT provided MEP/FP design and CA services under an on-call DB contract led by J. Vinton Schaefer, Quandel.
